Celtic Background Blue on Blue.Completed by Gwyneth George

I printed the sheet onto good quality white card. I then cut and scored it to make a box base and lid 1.5cm deep. The corners were stuck together using strong template double sided tape. I finished off by taking one square of the printed out background, punching a hole through it and threading it onto a metalized ribbon which I tied around the box and put a bow in.

I often make boxes to put my jewellery in when given as gifts for women in the family, but I've also made some beaded black and beaded blue chains for spectacles for some of the men in the family and thought that when I made some more it would be a good idea to have some boxes in a more masculine colour and pattern ready. I think this one fits the bill.

Although I used it to make a box the background could be used as a base card, matting and layering, or even cutting out the squares, as I've done for the gift tag, to use as toppers on a card, perhaps with a simple charm in the centre. The possibilities are endless.
