Roses & Carnations Blank Card with Oval Scalloped FrameCompleted by Joy Comstock

I chose to use a butterfly from CUP#235993_359 and

the butterfly garden scene from CUP#254744_692. I

printed everything onto glossy photo paper, cut out

the pieces, inked the edges

of the butterfly with black

ink and cut out the aperture

for the picture to be framed.

The "Roses & Carnations"

image was mounted onto a

grey-blue cardstock which matches perfectly. I used glitter glue to outline the outer edge of the image and the inner scalloped frame. I

also used gold glitter glue on

some of the filigree. I used

glitter glue on the butterfly and while the glue was still

wet, I rolled the image so it

looks like it's just landing on

the picture. I fastened just

the body of the butterfly to

the picture. The result is a

very dimensional picture which I am going to place in

a shadow box and give as a

gift. Copies of the completed

project would make a good

greeting card cover.
