Vintage Birthday, Old ChapCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I have made this card several times using this sheet provided with such pleasing accalaids, I have now up loaded it again with a few additions. i shall have to keep a list of the male recipients to be careful not to double up.

This delightful vintage car makes a most suitable subject for a male greeting card to cover most occasions, and celebrations.

I have used the extra smaller image to mount as the last part of the decoupage for this quick greeting card.

The front of the main card is a 15.5x11cm gloss white which I have edged with a blue pen, to which I attached the white peel off bordered blue 15 x 10cm backing sheet using red power tape.

To complete the rest of the decoupage, I have used the padded D.S. tape. The black backing sheet and the main image have 3 lengths of ribbon across horizontally in the top third to make them appear as one ribbon.

I then used a glitter blue coloured split pin to attach the black and silver ribbon, which is folded into 4 and caught at the top in a simple loop, onto the top left hand corner before attaching this topper to the card front.

I defined the edges of the smaller image with the blue pen before using the D.S. tape to attach it to the front over the ribbons.

I have added the verse which is from page 3 of the male birthday verses.

I have changed the wording slightly to accommodate my need. the original is by Janyce Cotteril and I have used a birthday sentiment.

The result is a very useful and quick and easy masculine looking greeting card. Thank you for this delightful design. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus
