As you can see I decided to use this beautiful backing sheet supplied by Gaye Robinson as a card front.

I made a copy on 180gsm white CB matte copy paper at the small size of 12.5 x 9cm, and another copy the same size onto regular 80gsm copy paper for the outside of the card and for the insert I made a copy at the full size as supplied onto 80gsm copy paper.

I made up the card front by attaching a 13.5 x 9cm red backing sheet to the back of the 120gsm copy of the main image, using D.S tape.

I then attached this using the same D.S. tape to the white backing sheet which measures 13.5 x 9.5cm. and then onto a full sized copy of the main image which I had cut at 15 x 11.5cm.

I then added the silver peel off strips to the smaller main image, and to the larger image 2mm in from the outside, and to the white backing sheet I attached red fine line peel off strips 2mm in from the outside edges.

Before attaching this to the main card front which is white and measures 12 x 15.5, I attached the ribbon to the front of the card topper and wrapped it around to attach to the rear of the largest backing sheet using D.S. tape.

I then attached this to the white card front, using the same tape. I then used the regular 80gsm copy of the smaller image to cut out the individual poppies. These I attached using thickened white glue.

When this glue was completely dry, I used my Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to carefully and evenly coat the decoupage poppies only.

I drew some poppies using a fine line permanent pen and coloured them in using a red permanent pen. I wrote the sentiment and attached this by tucking it under the ribbon whereas the decoupage poppy is sitting over the ribbon.

I had used a small length of ribbon to tie a simple double knot by slipping the ribbon under the horizontal ribbon and to gently scrunch the horizontal ribbon.

I made the insert by cutting and pasting to achieve the correct size and be able to read the sheet horizontally in a landscape view and attached a red ribbon vertically.

I have as yet not added the verse.

I am delighted with this outcome and will do something similar with the sympathy sheet that I have also purchased that was designed by Gaye Robinson.

Thank you for this design, it will be most useful for me to use many times due to the versatility of the simple message and the delicate flowers.
