I have made 2 different sized Birthday cards using this design. The first and largest I printed using the whole A4 sheet, then I cut out all the elements and using the 8 teabag shapes and the simple 4 fold to complete the finished square shape.
The top layers are then folded to form the 8 petals which makes the base for the project. I prepared the 24cm white spot mauve main card and the verse printed insert. I used gold glitter glue on the edges of the cream frame and the purple 7cm square backing for the teabag and allowed them to dry.
I prepared the decoupage using padded D.S tape.
The Teabag design is finished and attached onto a white, 6cm square with the daisy chain style lace glued on using the purple heart shaped split pin.
This topper is then attached to the card front using red power tape. I added the 3 coloured daisies as extra embellishments. I used pen and water colour pencils to draw and colour the pansy for the insert and the verse is from the free verses section.
The second 80 Birthday card cut at 22.5 x15cm, and using the same simple 4 fold with a triangle finish, glitter pink, gold peel off strips, fine lace and the 14x9.5cm purple backing sheet and a plain mauve insert with the hand drawn pansy embellishments.
This design has made 2 delightfully bright and female birthday greeting cards. The teabag squares are perfect and easily folded using either 80gsm or 120gsm paper and having the frame and the sentiment prepared makes a quick and easy completion to the card.
Thank you for such a delightful design.
