Santa PawsCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
OccasionWhen we were young so long ago, we wished like so many others, for a puppy for Christmas.
Little did we actually realise that Santa could not carry so many puppies all at once, so here is a design that will not cause so much expense and at least let the little Christmas wisher know that their wish was heard.
This is definitely the cute puppy I wanted and I have made a very quick decoupage using this easy step by step method.
I printed the sheet provided twice and used the first copy of the main image as the main backing sheet.
The second copy I have used to cut away the green frame, keeping the bow intact. I attached this to the main image using padded D.S. tape. I used the smaller elements, the 2 pine cones and the sentiment to complete the decoupage, using padded D.S. tape.
I attached a white backing sheet cut at 14.25 x 14.25 using D.S. tape and defined the edges with a gold metallic pen.
I made the main card using cup814313_79993, Christmas lace effect, a design by Clare Walker, printed onto both sides of a white card and cut it at 29 x 15cm, and used D.S. tape to attach the completed topper to the card front.
I completed the insert by using the smaller image from one of the copies and a free verse from the Christmas list for friends.
I then used glitter glue to embellish the hat, pom pom and the top of the sack.
I used the second small image to make a gift card using green card, and the glitter glue for embellishing the front of the card, and trimming one of the sentiments to fit this smaller version.
This has made a magical looking card and I will be able to use this design many times and for many seasons to come.
