If you have a friend who absolutely loves cats, or a young friend who has a Christmas wish for a kitten high on their wish list letter to Santa, then this is the perfect card to bring a smile to their face, in anticipation for Christmas day gifts and celebrations.

I have made a white card cut at 24.5cm x12.75cm and scored and folded it before attaching the red decorative peel off strips close to the very edge of all 4 sides of the card front.

I have made a backing sheet using ivory card, cut at 11.5x6.5cm and joining it to a red card, cut at 11.5cm x5cm.

I then attached the decorative striped Christmas ribbon across the front and across the horizontal join and left the tails loose.

I attached the decorative silver strips on to all 4 sides including under the loose ribbon tails. I printed the sheet supplied onto good quality light white card and cut out the main element.

I attached a gloss silver, 6.5cm square, at the back of the top left hand corner and one the same size at the right lower corner, of the main image, leaving an exposed 0.5cm edge of the gloss silver paper.

I then attached this main image, with the gloss silver backing to the ivory and red backing sheet. I have used red power tape to attach the ribbon tails to the back of this topper and then the topper onto the card front.

I have used decorative silver strips to continue the lines from the gloss silver paper to each of the corners.

To complete the embellishments, I have punched out 4 gloss silver tiny Christmas trees to attach to the top of the card and attached the bow I have made using the same ribbon.

I cut out all the small elements and used a mixture of padded tiny D.S. squares, thickened white glue and a glue pen to attach all the elements, following the numbering system instructions on the sheet, using the step by step method to complete the decoupage.

To complete the insert I have used the matching insert, by Caroanne Designs, cup1009671_21555. I also attached the extra cat, supplied with this insert design, for the back of the card onto the outside back of the finished card.
