The card would have been ideal just to print off and cut out which I probably would have done but this was to be a special 5th birthday 3 days after lockdown restrictions had eased enough to allow 2 Grandmas and 1 Grandad to take part in the celebrations in the garden.

I resized the download to a 10 x 7 sheet and printed off on semi gloss photo paper. Once printed I cut out the main card and the decoupage. I mounted the main card on gold mirri card and then on to pink backing paper leaving a margin between each other and then mounted them onto a 5 x 7 ivory card blank. I cut one or two shaded parts away from the which dress to give more depth and then embossed the back with a large embossing pen and pad before adding sticky pads and two glue dots at the waist to keep that down and give more fullness to the picture and then added that layer. I then embossed the final layer and again using glue dots at the waist and sticky pads on the rest added this layer to the card. Most girls like a bit of 'sparkle' so I used gold glitter glue to add detail to the crown, around the sleeve cuffs, waist and down the front and edge of the dress.

I still have to use the heartshaped tags which I will put a 5 on the blank one and use the other too.
