SPARKLING WHITE PEACOCK BIRTHDAY AND OTHER SENTIMENTSCompleted by Margaret Swaby

As soon as I saw this sheet I could see its potential. The picture is so pretty and peaceful looking and I could see that it could be enhanced to make it look even better.

I printed it out onto photo paper.

It is a simple print and stick with very little layering necessary. I then used double sided tape to stick the image onto a white card blank. I took a fine glue applicator and applied a little glue to each of the small eyes in the peacocks feathers and then sprinkled it with shimmery white powder.

When this was dry I applied a little more of the glue from the fine tipped applicator to the larger of the eyes and on these I stuck tiny flat backed clear gems.

The only bit that I decoupaged was the bow at the top and I applied the second layer with sticky pads , then placed self adhesive flat backed pearls to the centre and also to the centre of each of the shimmery gems pictured on the image.

All that remained was to add the sentiment of my choice using sticky pads. The finshed card is beautiful and elegant looking , perfect for a birthday ( male or female), anniversary, could be done using all pearls for a pearl anniversary, or even a sympathy card as the image is so tranquil looking.

A simply stunning card/.
