Wow, I love in Florida, USA and have never been in a hurricane before, Irma. The hurricane was touted as the worst one in recorded history and I was terrified. That fear was perpetuated, since I am living alone now.

But several days before the storm hit land, I saw the hand of God in the front yard and knew that He would still the winds and calm the water.

When necessary, I packed a few things, locked the house and wondered if I would see my little home like this again.

I trusted God and my vision, and i didnt do anything else to protect my home. Actually, physically I couldnt anyway.

I then drove to a friends home who is a native Floridian and been through many such storms.When I returned, the lamp post light was on and there was absolutely NO damage anywhere on my property or home!

My friends accompanied me to the house in case I needed them. As I stepped across the threshold, my friend said she saw the lamp post light flicker and go out.

The interior of the house was quite warm so I knew the electricity had been off for 24 hours or so.

Wow this was mind blowing for us! I thank God for His protection.Here are a few new designs, hope you like them too! Thanks to all my buyers! xx Janice

I am so very excited about my new painting class. It is taught by internationally acclaimed One Stroke artist Donna Dewberry from right here in Florida, USA. Ive tried her technique many times before, but I am not satisfied with the results.

When I saw this retreat coming up in November, I hopped to it and enrolled. The site is about 8 hours drive through beautiful Tennessee mountains. I am so looking forward to this and learning to be a better painter. Of course, Ill never stop digital designing, this is my passion and forte. I had previously written about my ancestors from Scotland. However with more research, I discovered that they were originally from France. Long, long ago in an ancient country, I discovered that I am a direct descendent (GRAND DAUGHTER) of Charlemagne, King Charles of France!!

After 17 years, my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited finally died on the way to the new car dealership. She was faithful, dependable and a joy to drive and own. When I saw the new Jeep Compass, it was love at first sight.

The perfect car for me, not too big, as I didnt need a big vehicle anymore and easy on the eyes too.

I made the right decision, I love my new Jeep!

I was so glad to have my daughter Kelly visiting down here in Florida from Pennsylvania! She is such a ray of sunshine and she loves water sports. Here she is kayaking at a nearby river.

I enjoyed watching her as I lounged on the beach :) We packed lunch and drinks and totally enjoyed our relaxing time together on a girls day out.
