What's a slam book? It's a mixture of a diary, a blog, and passing notes. Slam books are tons of fun if both people really get into it!

Steps

  1. Go out and buy a composition notebook. It can be whatever design you want, or you can just get a plain black and white one- it's your choice. These can be anywhere from a dollar to five dollars, depending on where you get it. Try Staples.
  2. Find a trustworthy friend. This will be your PIC- partner in crime- for writing the slam book. I say trustworthy because, if all goes well, you're going to put some really private stuff in there. * You don't want it spread all around school about how you actually thought Two Girls, One Cup was hot.
  3. Write an intro explaining what the slam book is and what you want to do. Tell them that they're totally free to say they don't want to do this, but you think it would be really fun. (Worked for the author of this wiki.)
  4. Now, write! Like I said earlier, it's like a diary meets passing notes. Have fun, and be nice (if you want to). You can pass it back and forth however often you want. Between class periods, every other day, once a week, whenever. It doesn't have to be consistent, either. If you don't have anything important to say, so what. You can either write something about what you had for dinner and pass it back, or hold on to it for a while until something comes up. Whatever works for you.

Tips

  • Choose a friend with good handwriting. It helps.
  • Don't use LOLspeak. Write like you're blogging, not IMing.
  • Talking crap about people is fine, as long as you keep it inside the slam book.
  • Need some ideas? Boys. Girls. Food. Homework. Hair. Stuffed animals.

Warnings

  • If this falls into the wrong hands, you're pretty screwed.
  • If you take this to school- and you probably will at some point- please make sure to keep it away from teachers. That's why it's called a slam book. When they walk by, you'll have to slam it shut.

Things You'll Need

  • A close friend (or a friend you'd like to get closer to)
