Ardfert and Beyond - a Pieced, Appliqued & Embroidered Wallh

This wall-hanging was inspired by a wonderful holiday in Ireland. We were invited to spend a short break with friends who treated us like royalty and showed us around their very special part of South West Ireland, where the hospitality can?t be beaten.

The design is based on the Japanese concept of distant objects being at the top and near objects at the bottom.

The quilt has a pieced background, appliqu?d landscape elements, beading as well as machine and hand embroidery.
