Light Up the Town Pop Up Card

This is really a great design and I had SO much fun playing with it.

I cut the main popup card in black and folded it very carefully. I left the back row of the houses in black and cut the front row cover in red and the second row cover in a light, two colored and slightly embossed grey, which looks like stone. I also used this grey one for the grey square in front of the houses, but left the upright folded front stripe black to illustrate the height difference. Then I cut a night blue sky and bottom cover and glued all the pieces onto the black main folded popup card. I decorated with white glitter on the front square and on the roofs of the houses. Punched some tiny Christmas trees in white corrugated cardboard and planted them on top of some of the roofs plus one a little larger in the back and the front of the front square, decorated them all with glitter glue plus 1 mm gemstones and sticker dots on the large one. I added shiny star stickers to the blue sky and gold cardboard behind the tower in the middle of the red row. Then I fastened the finished popup card inside a card, which has a Christmas printed pattern on the outside and a matching light plum solid colored inside. Decorated with a stripe of the printed cardbord and a poinsettia and a holly stem.

On the printed outside cover I made a scenery with a blue sky and small white corrugated Christmas trees over a stripe of the solid colored side of the cardboard. Finally I closed the card with an elasticated red bow tied ribbon. The closed card is 4.5 x 5.5" (11.4 x 14 cm).
