Each of the clipboards shown here can be used as a notice board, a writing board or just as decoration. The clipboards are partly painted with black blackboard paint and partly decorated, for example with design paper, masking tape, decorative buttons etc.
A clipboard decorated with halved baubles made from design paper: cut three circles from three different pieces of design paper, i.e. a total of nine circles.
Sew the paper circles together along the middle (in threes – one circle from each design paper) using the sewing machine.
Use masking tape to mask off an area on the clipboard for the blackboard paint. Apply the blackboard paint with a brush and let it dry.
Use a ruler and and a black marker pen for drawing a staight horizontal line at the very top of the clipboard.
Attach the three finished halved paper baubles onto the clipboard – down one side.
Mask off an area on the clipboard for the blackboard paint and apply the blackboard paint. When dry, attach a peg using Clear Multi Glue Gel. You may attach a photo using the peg.
Paint the entire clipboard with black blackboard paint. When dry, decorate the clipboard with masking tape using your imagination in a random criss-crossing design.
Attach masking tape in vertical rows to mask off areas and apply blackboard paint in stripes. Paint and leave to dry. Attach wooden buttons onto the clipboard using Clear Multi glue Gel.
Mask off an area on the clipboard for blackboard paint and paint. When dry, glue cut-out numbers or letters onto the clipboard.
Print the template, which is available as a separate PDF file for this idea. Cut it out and draw the outline of the template onto the clipboard. Paint with blackboard paint. When dry, drill holes all along all the edges using a drill. Sew a piece of natural hemp in into the holes and finish with a bow at the top.
