Sympathy Animals

You loved your little cat,
He was your furry little friend,
He used to snuggle up upon your knee,
As a long days work did end,
He'd sneak indoors with a mouse or bird,
His trophy and his prize,
You had to forgive his feline ways,
As he brought you his surprise,
But his final days were numbered,
It was sad to see him go,
But a brilliant life he did have,
That's one thing you do know,
So give grateful thanks,
For the years he had,
For the joy he gave to you,
And may the memories of those little paws,
Bring comfort to you too.

I'm so sorry to hear that your beloved pet,
Over the rainbow bridge has gone,
He will leave such a gaping hole in your lives,
Yet his memory will linger on,
You won't forget the walks you had,
The companion always by your side,
He may be gone from every room of your house,
But in your heart he will always abide.

I know you miss your little cat,
Her coming through the door,
The way she purred upon your knee,
The way she licked her paws,
No more will she sit by the window,
And watch the world go by,
I know how much you loved her,
Her loss will make you cry,
But think upon the good times,
The years that she spent with you,
Be glad that you shared your home with her,
And all the love you gave her too.

Four little paws,
Little whiskers too,
You'll miss your feline friend,
She was forever true,
Silently she followed you,
Throughout the house she went,
And on your knees she'd climb,
And purr to her heart's content,
So although she's no longer with you,
And you'll miss her at your feet,
You'll never forget your little cat,
She was so very sweet.

He was your faithful, little companion,
Your furry little friend,
He a lived life that was full of fun,
Right up until the end,
So although you're feeling sad now,
To see his bowl, his collar and lead,
Just remember all the good times,
For he was your loving pet indeed.

He curled up with you at night,
He jumped upon your knee,
Your little dog you loved,
At last is now pain free,
Remember how he scampered through the fields and on the beach,
Remember how he jumped for joy when his lead you went to reach,
You'll miss his little face,
His tail wagging at the door,
It's all the little memories,
You'll remember and so much more,
Be glad that he was with you,
And all the joy he brought,
For your darling little dog will stay forever in your heart.

The house will seem empty,
Bereft of a friend,
No one at your bedside,
As the long day does end,
Those deep loving eyes,
That would just melt your heart,
All gone in a moment - you both had to part,
Your heart will be aching,
You will feel so sad,
Yet in time you will smile,
And in moments feel glad,
That he was part of your life,
And will still be today,
For no one will ever take,
Those memories away.

She'd greet you each time at the doorway
With a 'So happy to see you!' air.
It was easy to see she wanted to say
She missed you when you weren't there.

She was always ready for an adventure.
Wherever you might go.
Contented joy of just being with you,
On her face would show.

Whenever you were unhappy
And feeling a little blue,
It was just simply amazing
How she'd know just what to do.

You will miss her happy footsteps,
Her loving looks and ways.
Know that my thoughts are with you
As you go through these sorrowful days.

Some people will not understand
the heartache that you are feeling.

They have never know the unconditional love and companionship that you have experienced.

Know that my thoughts are with you as you grieve the loss of your devoted friend.

You came to us as a tiny bundle of fur
Always gentle and full of purrs.
Your paw upon my face, left foot prints on my heart forever.
Rest in peace our beautiful fur baby.

I wrote this verse for a friend whose dog had died. I put the name of the dog in the title after the word, Beautiful. The verse is for a male dog but you can of course turn it into a verse for a female dog by changing him to her, change the number of years to suit the circumstances etc

Memories that will stay in your heart,
Of a faithful dog right from the start,
Fourteen years he lived with you,
The joy he gave and the companionship too,
His little ways you knew so well,
The secrets you told him - he'd never tell,
To the family occasions he would go,
His happiness through his tail he'd show,
But sadly as the sweet years passed,
You knew one day would be his last,
There's an empty bed no other dog could fill,
A house that feels so empty and still,
A feeling that you think will never go away,
How much you'll miss him every day,
But time will ease your aching heart,
You'll smile at the memories,
Even though you're apart,
So be thankful for the love he brought,
For his paw prints will leave an imprint,
On your every thought.

You will never be forgotten
you'll always be inside my heart.
My one true friend through lifes' journey
we will never be apart.

though our animals arent around for long
they leave a lasting impression on us
they make a great impact on our lives
which makes saying goodbye so hard
they leave pawprints on our hearts
and memories that last for ever
