So it's often said,
Grab every opportunity,
Make sure you are well read,
For going to University,
Will open many doors it's true,
Indulge yourself in learning,
It's very good for you!

So you want to be a teacher
Well I say 'Good for you'
You could have 30 children
Sitting staring in front of you

You have to get their attention
Teach them maths and English too
For when they sit their exams
Their good passes will be thanks to you

Such a long time for us to wait
For a winner through the gate
Now Britain is definitely GREAT!

The noise was so very loud

We all knew you would go far
Treat yourself to a brand new car

Now you've worked so very hard
Don't you think you deserve this card

Congratulations on all your hard work in achieving your goals. Well Done!

The first day at school is over
For the new school girls and boys
They have to start to read and write
And put away some of their toys

They have to learn and listen
And do what they are told
To get an education
Which will serve them 'til they're old

Teaching children ABC
Is not an easy task
When teaching them their numbers
They always want to ask
Why do I have to learn counting?
Why do I have to read?
You tell them it is part of life
It's something that you'll need

Teaching a child to read and write
Can be a very hard thing to do
Learning to count using bottle tops
A child finds it all very new

Then suddenly the realisation
That one and one make two
That letters can form words
And writing them is what you do

There'll be time to learn
And time time to play,
But most of all
Enjoy the day!

You are about to start big school,
How exciting it is for you,
You'll be making some new friends,
While learning lots of great things too,
You'll start reading books,
Adding sums and taking away,
You'll have so much fun doing it,
- but don't worry, you'll still have time to play,
So enjoy all of the excitement,
Lots of things will be brand new,
Mummy and Daddy are very proud to share this special time with you.

It takes a special person to teach children in a class,
You have to know their strength and weaknesses for exams they have to pass,
You will stimulate and encourage by presenting exciting facts,
You need to make it interesting enough to stop them in their tracks,
All of this has to be believable so they will want to learn more,
So by the end of every day they're content as they walk out the door,
Your job is extremely vital for eager minds will want to know,
Why education is so important and how it will help them develop and grow.

It's hard to believe,
that soon you will leave,
The start of schooldays is near.
but there's no need to fear.

There's fun and friends in the playground,
just waiting to be found.
and lots of other things to excite and astound,
so many new sights, so many new sounds.

Enjoy Your First Day At School.

Opening up your heart and mind,
With the wonders of the wider world
And all that's still to find.
