Christmas Grandparents

Merry Christmas Grandma,
May all your dreams come true,
You're a very special person,
Who is loved a whole lot too,
So I hope this festive season,
Is merry and bright for you,
For a grandma who is loved a lot,
Deserves Christmas dreams come true!

There are two people in the world,
Who mean the most to me,
And Christmas wouldn't be Christmas,
Without all the family,
I am so very lucky,
To have grandparents who are a special pair,
They have so much love to give,
That all the family share,
For Christmas is about tradition,
For Carols and fairy lights,
It's for gathering the family together,
And making it merry and bright!

Christmas is best when we're together
It doesn't matter whatever the weather
Under one roof having Christmas dinner
Even Granny with her speedy 'zimmer'
Grandad at the table, sipping his wine

Christmas pudding served with cream
Some had mince pies, plates are clean
After the big feast, now all are full
Washing up offers, there's none at all
Silver Surfers have the usual nap

It wouldn't be the same if anything was changed, just don't get saddled with all the clearing up, Christmas is for you too!

I asked my Granddaughter 'What would like for Christmas?'
She produced a list as long as your arm
I would like vouchers, some make up and brushes
She gives you the list with such charm

She knows she won't get every thing on it
She hopes and prays that she will
Then Lucy gives me a great stocking
With a grin and a plead I will fill

Wishing you nan and grandad
a Christmas full of cheer,
and all the warmest wishes
for a happy new year

It may not snow for Christmas
it may just be damp and cold,
But I’m sure the two of you
will warm each other with a loving hold,
We hope you enjoy your time
with both the families,
I’m sure your Christmas will be special
and you’ll seal it with a kiss.

You’re a very special Grandson
you don’t let your trouble get you down,
So have a fantastic Christmas
we’re so proud of how you’ve grown,
Enjoy the gifts that you can buy
Especially from us,
The things you buy will keep you happy
Long after New Year and Christmas.

To our very special Granddaughter
who has already left school,
You have worked well on your exams
and we really think that’s cool,
You’re looking after animals
and showing them you care,
I know if I was one of them
I’d be glad that you were there,
So enjoy your Christmas holiday
and go back to the farm full of joy,
Because soon there’ll be animal babies
you’ll get to know if they are girl or boy

The Festive Season comes but once a year,
We all know this to be true,
But every day is special,
With Grandparents as caring as you.

My Granddaughter was an inn keeper
In her pre-school Nativity play
Today she played the part of Joseph
And sat where the baby lay

She's in the play again tomorrow
She hopes to play the part of Mary
I told her 'You may not be lucky my love'
She said 'Well just come along and watch me'
