Christmas Gingerbread

In the kitchen, a heavenly treat,
Baking gingerbread, smells so sweet,
The aroma surrounds you like a sugary hug,
Plates at the ready, tea in the mug!

Hurry up oven, Christmas is here,
And my family are waiting with festive cheer,
The gingerbread's ready and now on a plate,
Ready for eating, we don't have to wait!

Gingerbread House so good to eat,
Decorated with icing,
And candies so sweet,
Gingerbread Men a special delight,
Eat curled up with a cocoa,
On a cold winter's night,
Gingerbread cookies,
A treat for us all,
Everyone loves them,
If you're big or you're small.

Gingerbread Man & Gingerbread Wife
Together through their bread making life,
Everyday use is ginger and flour
In their very own Bakery Tower,
Their gingerbread cookies smell divine
When I buy them, they're all mine!
