I have completed the marking of the design onto white matte card cut at 12 x 10cm and have doble strands of silver glitter metallic thread to stitch the hat outside lines, eyebrows pompom, beard and moustache and then used re metallic single thread to.
The nose and eyes I have stitched using single thread black metallic. I have then used a silver metallic pen to complete the colouring of the white and silver areas and red metallic pen and water colour red pencil to colour the hat and nose, pale blue pencil to fill in the eye area ad pink water colour to highlight the cheeks.
I have defined the edges of the main image and the backing sheet with red permanent pen, added glitter glue to most of the main features and allowed this to dry before backing it with cup479109_936 A4 Christmas Background by Marijke Kok.
I have used a gloss red card front with swirls of white snow cut at 14 x 12 cm. To complete the insert I have used cup 804724_79993, Christmas berries background cut to size and a verse form the free verse Christmas section.
The embellishments on the front are peel off Christmas shapes and sentiment. This was an extremely easy pattern to stitch and complete quite quickly, and I have used different stitch lengths to achieve a slightly different effect.
Thank you for the design, I plan to make tags for Christmas gifts and some book marks as small gifts using the smaller version of the same design, most of which I will stitch in black and colour with water colour pencils.
I will add these to the page when completed which will be closer to Christmas. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
