An absolutely beautiful elegant Japanese lady and parasol.
I used 2 pieces of C.B's Matte photo paper to make a card 32cm x 18.5cm. The join is covered with the insert and the backing sheets
I used the RHS of the sheet of vellum cut at 15 x 12 to trace some flowers before cutting out the elements in light card
The lady has 6 elements. I using tiny white foam D.s Squares, and step by step completed this part first. Then I attached to the back a piece of vellum cut the same size to draw with a white pen the flowers and leaves, turned it over and lightly coloured them in with chalk. I used d.s tape around the edge to attach it to the back of the whole frame. I then step by step completed
the flowers.
Next I made the backing . I
used light purple craft paper cut at 18.x15.5., dark purple
cellophane cut at 17 x 14.5cm, the same craft paper cut at 16.5 x 13cm, vellum cut at 15 x 12 cm and a photo sourced from Microsoft clip art of a Japanese Garden which I resized to portrait 11.5 x 10.5cm.
The photo,I edged using a ruler & an alcohol pen in dark purple.
The vellum starting at the RHS of the sheet I traced some flowers and leaves from the original sheet supplied, And then used the small ball tool to raise the flower petals and the leaves. & turned it over so that the drawing is now on the left H.S and the flowers are now in reverse to the ones on the frame. Using D's tape I attached the vellum behind the photo exposing 6cm of the drawing. This I attached to the smallest craft paper, Then onto the cellophane. I attached a purple ribbon horizontally along the bottom edge exposing only the cellophane.I then attached this to the largest purple craft paper & attached the same ribbon vertically slipping it under the horizontal ribbon & exposing 3 backing sheet left edges. This completed backing sheet I attached, using D'S tape to the card front. I used D'S Foam squares to attach the topper. I used tiny sequins for the hem, flower centres corners and a large one for the ribbon. I tied a simple slip bow on the R.H Corner. And isn't it just gorgeous? Thank you Astrid. I just love it
