This is a step by step set to use as you wish, and please use many times over. I used Crafty Bob's matt card and cut out all the elements
I made up 3 dahlias first using 1 large with 2 smaller, then the next 2 dahlias are made up with just 2 smaller dahlia cut out elements .each made using double sided foam squares but I was careful to leave most petal edges free, so I could curl them up slightly
I then used "Glossy Accents" to high light the flower centres and I highlighted the tiny dots on the flowers themselves . I allowed this to dry, whilst I made up the rest of the card.
The card is from the white Scallop Crafty Bob Range( front size 17.5 x 12.5 cm) I used a medium shade green ink pad to colour the edges of the scallops and also set aside to dry.
I cut a piece of light Green White spot paper 12.5 x 17.5 and using the scallop card as a pattern, I cut scallops the same shape as the card. This means the paper will end up being just a fraction smaller than the card front. I then edged this with an alcohol pen in dark green as seen in the photo. I used white lace on top of a paper ( Tiny white dots on Plum) cut at 18.5cm x6.5cm i folded the edges in, and the bottom bottom for a finish of 16.5 x 6.5 this helps lift it up from the card base. I attached a lighter Plum satin ribbon across the top of the lace and fastened at the back of the lace edge.
I then took a smaller piece of ribbon and tied it over & around to form a simple bow. This was then attached to the green spot paper with double sided tape and then all attached to the card front.
A sentiment could be attached to one side of the card front and the dahlia's arranged to balance. However I like to draw flowers so I used one of my drawings and shrunk it to fit and slipped it in behind the knot. And just in case there was some confusion to the name of the flower I cheekily added the tiny name. In this lay out the sentiment could sit on the ribbon.
The elements have such a 3D effect when finished that they will enhance any card for whatever the occasion. Used as a group as I have or individually.
