I used the dark red for my base CS, proceeded to cut out the decoupage and raise with foam pads.
For embellishments, I added the odd gold (very tiny) gem in the center of a few stars around the outside.
I also added red gems for the berries on the holly and clear glittered the green leaves. ALL of the white on "Santa" is sparkle powder. This card is so cute, made up - another winner, Eva.
A real cutie and a quickie.
I used a cream card 14 x 21.5 cm
Using D.S Tape I matted the topper directly onto the card. I used Mod Podge and a tooth pick to place a tiny dot on the stars ,(Section at a time) the Ho,Ho,Ho & the Bows on the presents and then sprinkled white glitter on to each one.I left this to set before shaking off the excess and then brushed the black background gently to rid the excess. A gentle blow with the mouth to complete the cleaning process. I cut out the elements. I used the same process ( Mod Podge and glitter to decorate the beard ,moustache ,Pom Pom, hat ruffle, & greeting.on the last top piece of each element.
ONLY when completely dry, I then mounted all the elements in turn using D.S Foam Tape
I added red rhinestones as berries, then to each present top, the corners and the sentiment
I made a single bow with glitter trimmed red satin ribbon and attached it with wet glue.
HINT 1. when preparing the small elements for the decoupage, place the D.S Foam Tape at the back, before using the mod podge and glitter, BUT DO NOT remove the backing until you need to place it on the card .
HINT 2. Use a clean tooth pick to clear the glitter from the mouth before it dries .
Isn't he such a friendly Santa.
Even a toddler would love him, even if not sitting on his knee at the sleigh in the shops was not a happy thought.
You could make a bundle of these in an afternoon.
