This is a stunningly beautiful design which will suit so many occasions, by easily changing the sentiment message and adding a mounted peel off sentiment to the card front.
I have used the sheet supplied to make this card, as the designer Diana Hutchinson intended, and by following the instruction guide, it then is a very easy and quick project to complete.
I have used the aqua spotty backing paper, cup917114_83483, clip Art Hot Air balloons, cut at 14.25 x 9.5cm to define the edges using a silver aqua metallic pen and wrapped the narrow aqua satin ribbon across the front 3.5cm up from the lower edge and then to attach to the 15cm x 10.5cm, card front of a satin finished silver main card.
This aqua paper is the 12th one down on the list of backing sheets offered for sale. I printed the sheet provided twice onto the same A4 white light card and used the first copy to attach the main image to the card front using D.S. tape.
I used the smaller butterfly elements from this copy to attach as instructed, allowing time to dry before folding up the wings and then attaching the aqua gems.
I have used padded tiny squares to attach the sentiment and red power tape to attach the bow I have made.
I have used the same aqua spotty backing paper and defined the edges as before, to cover the insert main page and used a copy of the main image with the decorative frame removed and reserved for the rest of the planned insert.
I have used the multi pastel striped backing paper from the same Clip Art Hot Air Balloons Papers, 8th down on the list to print on both sides of light card, then cut at 18cm x 14.75cm, to then score and Valley fold 10cm vertically in from the right hand side, define the edges as before and secure to the back page of the insert using D.S .tape.
I have used a small butterfly element from this sheet to embellish with gems and form the feelers.
I have used a second butterfly from this sheet and made a fly path trail using gems and I Have attached the reserved frame from this sheet to the verse I have chosen from, cup858689_79993, Butterfly Bush Floral Insert, a design by Clare Walker to complete the double insert I have made.
This is a beautiful completed project which was so easy to make. I love the simplicity of the design and the versatility the design offers. Thank you Diane I am sending you a hug. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Playtpus.
Gorgeous card!
I printed the file on glossy photo paper before cutting out the elements. As per the instructions, I glued the butterflies back to back.
I then inked the edges of the butterflies. I used a pencil to curve the wings.
I adhered each butterfly to the card with foam tape.
I added glitter glue around each wing and around the card border.
I matted the piece on complementary purple, blue, and gold card stock before adhering to a white card base.
I used my pencil to add a twirl to the sentiment and also adhered to the card using a foam square.
Gorgeous file with stunning effects!
