This bird known as Lazuli Bunting is a North American songbird named after the gem with the same name. It is not one I am familiar with at all but find it such an irresistible beautiful image on this traditional designed sheet by Emma Winnell, offered for purchase.
I have used the thematic shades within the design to make the topper.
I have used an ivory 15cm square card to edge with the deep aqua blue shade of the bird’s head, I completed the decoupage and made a multi coloured edge backing sheet to attach to the 12.25cm square image and attached the aqua blue organza ribbon across horizontally, 3.5cm up from the bottom edge.
I prepared the gold foil satin finished 14cm square backing sheet by edging it with the same pen, allowing it to dry for a few minutes before attaching it to the card front using padded D.S. tape.
I made a small bow using the organza ribbon and attached it using red power tape. A traditional card with well- meant meaning and is perfect for the thank you greeting I need to send today.

I printed this on good quality matte double sided photo paper. I used sage green coloured card topped with navy blue coloured card as the background, adhered with mounting squares. For the base I sued 2mm adhesive foam squares and 1mm for the remaining layers.
Finished off with gold trim and a little stickles glitter.
