Year of the Dragon
A great way to celebrate the New Year. 2012 is the year of the dragon, celebrate in style! A felt texture background, with a gold square, 4 red photo corners, and a two tone red dragon.
Finished with a black text plate with 2012 Year of the Dragon in gold text, in a font with an Asian flair.

This was a really simple, quick card to make. I printed onto semi gloss photo paper and cut and layered the image using foam pads. I mounted the image onto a white deckle edge card and finished with matching colour inserts.
This is a gorgeous, quick card and I love the little difference of adding the photo frames as an extra layer.
I have a friend who is a 'dragon' so left the 2012 tag but it would be easy enough to replace this with a simple 'Happy birthday' or whatever else you wanted.
I printed the design on matte photo paper and cut out all the pieces. I then layered them using 1mm foams squares before flat sticking the finished design to my base card.
