Book Folding Pattern for a Cat
This pattern enables the folder to create the pattern pictured in to a book.
It's not as complicated as it looks! the result is extremely rewarding and makes a great gift for friends and family, you may even sell your completed book!
For this pattern you need a hardback book of 21cm+ tall 197 folds (394 pages)

After printing the pattern I checked the size of book I needed then headed to the charity shop. I found a book the size and number of pages I needed.
I subtracted the number of pages in the pattern from the number of pages in the book and divided the answer by two.
This gave me my starting point in the book ensuring I had the same number of unused pages at the start and end of my folding.
The pattern refers to folds and this is one loose page with page numbers on both sides.
I marked each fold as directed in the pattern. I choose to mark all the folds then go back and do my folding. You fold from the top of the fold to the first mark then from the bottom of the fold to the second mark keeping the fold at right angles as much as you can.
It really all depends on the length of the page and where the mark is if you can make it right angled or not.
I did this for the Cat. When I had finished I lined the unused page nearest the Cat with black mirror card with paw prints on and then wrapped a ribbon with cats around the book to hold it in place.
You can also decorate the outside of the book to finish it off.
I printed the pattern out and started marking the book pages, having checked the correct size needed. Next I started on the folding and watched as the cat began to emerge. Finally I attached a lightweight ribbon and bell across the cat's neck.
This is a great design for cat lovers.
