Complete instructions are included and these instructions apply regardless of the bead shape. For the tube beads, you can start rolling from either end, otherwise, you'll always start rolling from the wide end.

I did some experimenting with various papers and rolling tools. All the lightweight papers I tried worked perfectly and I used a cotton swab with an end cut off to roll the beads as I wanted a generously sized hole.
I also tried a toothpick and a corsage pin which worked well and made slightly smaller beads. I used white glue on the strip for the last two or three inches, then wiped the glue over the whole bead, rolling it between my fingers for a few seconds, and let it dry.
I used a small paint brush to apply a couple of coats of Glossy Accents.
A quicker way I found more recently was to dip them, several at a time strung on wire, in a product made specifically for paper beads called Vibrance Paper Bead Glaze.
It gave them a hard, shiny, water resistant finish. These are such fun to make and it's a project you can do anywhere with a minimum of supplies.
