1950's Purple Ruffles and Lace Mini Kit with Bookmark
A pretty lady in a 1950's style dress, with a flared ruffle skirt with matching hair-band, gloves & shoes in deepest purple. She is surrounded by roses & butterflies.
This stunning mini kit makes an 8 inch square card with matching bookmark or large gift tag. It includes 2 sheets, one with the card front & bookmark & the other with easy to cut out decoupage layers & 6 matching greeting tags to make a very special card. The deep layers will make the skirt really stand out & you could add a bit of lace or broderie anglaise to make it even more luxurious!
Tip: put sticky tape instead of foam pads at the waist of the skirt to keep it flat & make the bottom of the skirt flare out.

I printed the design onto good quality photographic paper and cut it out. I scored and folded an 8 x 8 scalloped edged card. I attached the design to the card using double sided tape. I assembled the decoupage using thin foam tape.
I shaped the skirt of the dress with my fingers then added foam tape to the outside edges only. I did this for each layer. This makes the skirt look full. I added a blob of silicone glue under one wing of each butterfly to give more definition. I added the greeting using thin foam tape. This gorgeous design also comes with a matching bookmark.
I added a brad from my craft box to complete the bookmark. A beautiful card and gift rolled into one.
