I hadn't attempted one of these before. However Sooo easy everything fits perfectly.
I cut out all the elements in light card I lay them out so that I could use glossy accents on all the exposed surfaces.
Method I used
1.So starting with the smallest single centre piece gently and lightly cover with the accents, remember to leave each piece to dry for several hours
2. the petals only
3. The pink between petals and centre piece only
4.the centre blue circle pieces only
5. the pink shell shape.
6. the gold Half circles
7. The blue and gold on the outside pieces. I had cut this final circle out and reprinted the gold square complete topper. I did not gloss the topper but mounted it onto a black/brown square card 8.5 x 8.5 which gives a scant edge of dark onto the topper.
To make the card.
I used Crafty Bob's matt white card 14 x 28 cm and kept the fold at the top edge.
The topper
1.Black/Brown light card 13x13
2.Brown texture finished copy paper weight paper12 x12
3. Aqua/Blue Textured look paper 11x11
4.Pink texture look as above 10x10
5. Gold paper as above 9x9
6. The complete square topper from the printed sheet and mounted on the black/ brown card, then in turn using D.S Foam squares and tiny circles. place and stick Each of the "very dry" pieces in turn remembering to keep them lying the same way as the centre piece as shown.
Voila!! Perfection is achieved
the sentiment I printed onto the yellow texture finished paper in the art Deco style ,mounted onto the lighter brown and finished with a bow (organza ribbon 2cm wide )
I used all the colours shown in the stained glass to give the full effect of colour used in the design..
Scraps from my stash are so handy for this sort of finish I often like to use.
Please give this a try, crafters it looks like you have spent weeks making this card when the designer has done all the hard work for you.
Thank you. I love it!!
Let's see more of these please
