Flowers & Things Shaped Card Kit - Vintage Butterflies
These shaped cards are very easy to make but really stand out when assembled.
There are designs for all sorts of occasions including birthday, anniversary, get well, weddings, new baby etc and every kit comes with a selection of greetings as well as an insert, coordinating envelope and easy instructions.
This design has a framed vintage floral picture in a shabby chic frame, with a cream water jug, pottery money pig and rich pink roses.

I printed the design onto 255gsm photographic paper, the insert onto 160gsm paper and the base card onto 300gsm card and cut these out.
I scored and folded the base card as instructed. I attached the insert to the inside of the base card using double sided tape.
I assembled the decoupage using thin foam tape. I attached the decoupage panel to the base card using double sided tape. I added the greeting using thin foam tape.
I placed a blob of silicone glue under one wing of each butterfly to give more definition and to complete this gorgeous card which also comes with a matching envelope.
I printed the card elements onto 200gsm photo paper and the insert onto 100gsm paper. I cut out all the pieces and assembled the card before adding the insert. To finish I added red gems to the butterflies wings.
I don't know where Val gets her inspiration for these stunning cards but I wish I had her creative flair.
If you have not tried one of these designs- you really ought to. This is a quick and easy card to make and can be used for so many different occasions too- what more do you need?
