Christmas Sweater Hanging Birdhouse/treat Box Decoration
This delightful hanging birdhouse is sure to please any recipient. With full colour instructions included to take you step by step. The roof has been designed so you can make it a treat box, instead of a piece of home decor. You don't have to have the bottom dangling decorations. You could also create a card as I have including a backing paper in each kit in this range.
This birdhouse has a knitted sweater effect, and I used a knit stitch embossing folder on the house to enhance it more. Utterly charming, this will make a stunning Christmas decoration. I also die cut the white snowflakes and used invisible thread to hang them from to give a cascade effect.
Everything is included all you need is 2 pieces of acetate, ribbon or twine and wet glue. You can add your own embellishments. The creativity is up to, I have just provided the elements.

The images were printed on 250gsm smooth white card. The birdhouse body was assembled using wet glue. The bird and decorations to the front of the perch were attached using glue gel. The large roses were also attached using glue gel.
The remaining decorations were assembled and attached to the birdhouse and ribbons using wet glue.
I'd suggest printing the first 5 pages of the PDF on 250gm matte photo paper, and the next 4 on lighter weight matte photo paper, then printing the backing sheet on the reverse of those previous 4.
I printed everything on 250gm, but was wishing the embellishments were lighter weight and two-sided so I didn't have to be concerned about white showing.
This kit is an engineering marvel! The tutorial is very complete, and you can use this to make just a treat box, or a standing birdhouse, or a hanging one like I did.
Things I learned for the next one: the paper tips already mentioned, and definitely using the backing paper on the embellishment sheets, and next time, I'll cut the tabs off the inner birdhouse liner to make it easier to score, fold and construct the house.
There are so many options included with this kit, and you could easily make some cards with the backing paper and leftover embellishments.
I added just some tiny pine cones, ribbon, a few paper flowers, "jewels", and glitter from my stash.
This makes a wonderful, large decoration and so much fun to make.
