This amazing card was so easy to make and has depth you can only appreciate by making it up, the instructions and diagrams were very clear & easy to follow, by looking at it open you would never think it would fold down flat but it does in an instant, I added a few embellishments of my own (spade, small trowel, welly boots, seeds, and the shed key hiding under the flower pot) but it really doesn't need it, a really clever design which needs to be seen to be believed, you slide open the doors and the card comes to life!
This is the third one I have made, I personalised this using the blank sentiment to add the recipients name.
I printed all 6 sheets onto 250 gram smooth card and made up following the very detailed instructions. These do look daunting to start with but if you follow the instructions step by step you cannot go wrong.
It all comes together in such an amazing way once you slot in the sliding doors. I added a small die-cut fork, watering can and plant pot to the front to finish off this brilliant card that any gardening lover would be delighted to receive.
These fit a standard 8 x 8 envelope when folded flat
I had been looking at these 'room with a view' designs for a while and decided to take the plunge.
The instructions were a bit daunting to start with especially as I am not a wet glue person.
However, I persevered and in some instances use DST instead of the wet glue and the result was amazing. I did not add any extra embellishments as I think it is amazing as is. I am thrilled that I have finished and now wish, as a gardener, that someone would send it to me!
I printed onto 260gsm glossy photo paper and embled following very easy instructions. I personalised greeting in my graphics programme. I stuck the lawn mower layer onto acetate to strengthen as handle was a bit flimsy.
I added a pair of wellies, an image I found on the internet, and a frog embellishment.
