I printed off the sheet and traced the outline of the girl onto the front of a pink card using an embossing tool and then cut out the aperture using a craft knife.
I then opened the card and used masking tape to fix the aperture over the pattern.
I decided this would be a summery card, so I chose flowery paper for the dress, lacy paper for the parasol and straw colours for the bonnet and boots.
I cut and folded the iris folding strips as normal and laid them over the pattern, using tape to stick down the ends as I went along.
When the image was all covered, I put extra tape over the whole image again to secure it.
I then removed the masking tape to free the card from the pattern. I covered the "workings" with a piece of toning pink paper, cut to size. On the front of the card, I added a sleeve cut from the dress paper, using foam pads. I added two little flowers from the same paper to decorate the bonnet.
The parasol was cut in a single piece and attached using Pinflair glue gel to give it a curve. The silver handle was from a peel-off sheet. Finally I traced an oval around the figure and ran narrow extra strong double-sided tape around the shape, before pleating narrow white satin ribbon around the oval to give a ruffled effect, hiding the ends under a matching bow.
