Little Girl Checking Mailbox Iris Folding Pattern
This silhouette image of a little girl checking the mailbox, maybe waiting for a birthday card from grandma, would make up into a lovely gift when framed, or resize the pattern and make it into a delightful birthday card for your little granddaughter.
Easy fancy folding, same technique as iris folding, only quicker & easier, using only one colour.

I printed the design on matte cardstock and carefully cut around its outline with a craft knife. Then I cut strips of black striped paper and laid the cut out pattern back in the aperture. I assembled each strip according to the design, taping each end of them.
When complete I trimmed the cardstock, removed the original pattern, turned the finished picture over and mounted the image on pink, then floral patterned paper and then onto a black base card.
I used rub-ons for the sentiment, layered on white then pink paper. Inside I adhered a white insert, fixed the 'negative' image to some black paper and attached it to the left hand side.
A very sweet representation of a little girl.
