I printed the digi stamp out onto 300gsm Super Smooth cardstock at much smaller than full size. I then coloured him in using Promarkers. I took a pre-prepared A5 card with a decorative edge and used Distress Ink to colour around the edge. I cut the coloured in digi stamp using a Spelbinders die, cutting around his tail and lifting it over the die to do an"outside the edge" effect. I took a green Adorable Scorable cardstock and cut a panel from it to fit on my card front, rounding the corners with a punch, and attached this panel directly to the card front. The cut out digi was stuck onto this using 2mm deep, double sided, foam tape. I cut out some leaf shapes out of two green patterned backgrounds from cup358107_1446 and attached these in a tumble towards the bottom right of the card front.
Such a cute character that can be coloured in using any colouring medium and even in bright colours for a young child's card.
One of my customers asked if two of her grandsons could choose dragon cards for their cousin who loves dragons.
Having chosen this one (and Uncle Perry), I suggested the boys colour them in and we could get together and construct them into birthday cards.
This is the result.
The boys had so much fun decorating them and making the cards and I know their cousin will be thrilled.
