I printed the dragon out onto 300gsm Super Smooth white cardstock at a reduced size. I then coloured him in using my Promarkers and cut him out using a circular Celtic die, using an "outside the box" technique to make his extremities apear to be floating above the circle. I then took a sheet of 250gsm red cardstock and cut out four squares using a square Celtic die a ribbon using a ribbon Celtic punch, and also cut a plain strip of red cardstock. I took another sheet of 300gsm white cardstock and scored and folded it in half. I cut a bit off the bottom to make a shorter card. I cut a strip out of the cut off piece just a little wider than the red Celtic ribbon. I used a Celtic border punch to cut down the side of the card I created and then put the plain strip of red behind it. I cut two edges off each of the Celtic squares and attached them all together to make a larger square before sticking the straight white ribbon and red Celtic ribbon over the top. The dragon circle was then stuck to the top of this and the whole lot was attached to the front of my card. I finished off with a simple peel-off greeting "Cyfarchion", Welsh for "Greetings", and put a plain insert inside.
I love these little dragon images and have bought several that are in different situations. I've even coloured them in in different colours. But, being Welsh, I just had to tackle a Red Dragon, but you could colour him in however you like.
