I have used this digital toadstool image to make a pink magical style female greeting card. I printed the sheet twice onto the one page and cut out 2 of the coloured toadstools.
I used glue tape to attach a pink with white spot backing sheet to the back of one of these images.
I attached a Victorian Plum “Tea for Two” VP822, which I reduced in size to measure 9cm diameter, onto two 9cm doilies to form an Oval backing for the main image.
I made the main card using an A4 gloss white 200gsm card.
I cut this down to measure 13cm high and scored and then folded it at the following measurements, with the wrong side facing and in from the left at 9.5cm as a valley fold, 20.5cm as a valley fold and 24.75cm as a mountain fold.
I covered each of these panels with the pink spotty paper backing sheet. I cut one panel at 13cm x 9.25cm, one panel at 13cm x10.25cm, one panel at 13cm x 4cm and the last panel 13cm x 5cm.
I then used pink peel off strips around all 4 sides of each panel before cutting out a 7.5cm diameter circle from the front panel allowing 2cm from the lower edge.
I attached the doily backed “Tea for Two” image onto the second panel so that it was aligned with the hole cut in the front panel.
I have used pink vellum cut at 13 x 9.5cm to attach to the front panel using tiny pieces of red power tape and used the pink peel off strips as embellishments.
I have attached the second toadstool onto the front pink vellum panel using the glue tape. I have used 47.75cm of 1.5cm wide rose pink satin ribbon to attach across the outside back of the card and then round onto the 2 panels as shown in the images attached.
I added the jewelled buckle as an extra embellishment. This finished card folds down to 11.5 x 13.5cm for posting and is free standing. I will use this image many more times for the young ladies in my family and the shades will vary and make each greeting card look individual.
The card will suit Easter, Invitations, Thank you, Congratulations, Well Done, Get Well and Birthday as this card celebrates and many special other occasions.
Thank you for the design, I hope you like what I have done with this cute image. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
