I used this backing in a different way to usual, I made it into a box with hinged lit as oppose to the usual cardmaking. I printed it onto Centura Pearl Ivory Card (which gives a much more diffused look to the pattern that's difficult to photograph) and I used the banding of light areas on the backing as a feature on the box. I trimmed the white area off around the backing then scored an inch in from both long sides. I scored at 1", 4", 5", 8", 9" from the shortest side and cut off at the 9" mark. I cut in from the long sides at the relevant places and folded at the scores. I stuck the four bottom corners and the front corners of the lid in place using Pinflair Bookbinder Glue. I stuck on two strips of gold ribbon just to either side of the light banding as decoration.
I used boxes like these to give little gifts of beaded jewelry for Christmas, but they could be used for gifts or chocolates at any time of year.
